THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sportswear designer to join the team at CB as they set out on a new venture - to disrupt the world of Golf apparel. As a Golf Designer, you’ll play an integral role in shaping the product vision for this new brand alongside some of the industry’s most innovative and influential creatives. Based in London, a city celebrated for its diversity, creativity, and cultural energy, this role offers an incredible setting to showcase your design skills and really push the boundaries of sportswear design.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Concept, design and develop original apparel solutions for the Golf market
- Work closely with the Design Director to bring to life product briefs, through detailed tech packs and product development
- Self-manage own creative process and execute towards given design direction
- Fabric trend research and sourcing
- Liaising with FGVs to ensure strong relationships and efficient product development
- Present product ideas and details with confidence and clarity
- Visualise ideas for products and ranges with a high degree of expertise
- Translate insights into compelling narratives and visual storytelling
- Lead apparel design communication between all stakeholders with creative solutions to push innovation
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's Degree in Sportswear Design, Apparel Design or related field
- 3 or more years of relevant design experience
- Proven experience with the entire design process (project scope and time planning, design steps, production/execution of design solutions)
- Strong portfolio showcasing an eye for style, silhouette, and creative vision
- Passionate about design, sports and lifestyle trends, with a keen interest in shaping the future of Golf apparel/accessory design
- In depth knowledge of construction, trims, and performance materials
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); experience with 3D design software is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment and take direction from the Design Director/CEO
- Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities
- Strong visual and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present design intent to internal and external audiences
- A proactive and positive attitude
